Letter:

Dear Mr. Truss,

We are from Ms. Shea and Miss Yee’s class. We are trying to promote an event called ‘Maple Minutes’ at our school. We are hoping to do ‘Maple Minutes’ for 45 minutes every last Friday of the month starting January 15th or March 5th.
We think this is a good idea because it will save money and the environment.

HOW
Money: We will use less electricity, so we will pay less money.
Environment: Electricity usually use coal which we have to burn and if we burn the coal, it pollutes the air so global warming will take place.

We are hoping that you could announce it over the intercom before it starts like
“The Maple Minutes is about to begin. Please turn off your heaters and lights.”
All the bathroom lights are off. So anyone who wants to go to the bathroom should go before it starts.
We also have got information from Ms. Guss that the preschoolers sleep during 12:30 to 2:00. (so it will start at 12 : 30 and finish at 1:15)
Also, when students or teachers want to move, please tell them to be careful because it is dark on hallway and stairs.
We have also found out that Ms. Kandi doesn’t teach robotics and ICT on Mondays and Fridays.
We are really looking forward to this event. We also wanted to tell you that we would like to put posters on the hall, and give a little speech about it during next assembly. We hope that would be okay with you
